Listening to Linn’s Koch-Emmery’s music, you feel everything. A visceral juxtaposition of both confidence and vulnerability to be heard throughout raw indie-rock creations, an external reflection of her internal world and a space for complete safety and surrender. Born in Hamburg, Germany, and raised in the small town of Norrköping, Sweden, music offered Linn a lifeline throughout her childhood and teenage years. In 2017, Linn launched her solo career, making a name for herself with guitar-centric, indie- rock earworms, she steadily added to her repertoire. 2018 EP Waves, included the popular track, ‘‘Don’t Sleep on My Luv’’, but her debut album, Being the girl in 2021, cemented Linn as a talented storyteller. The critically acclaimed album was nominated for a Swedish Grammy, and each track pulled in hundreds of thousands of streams. Linn’s success has taken her on tour across Germany, the US, UK and Mexico, including support slots for Liam Gallagher, long-time friends Los Bitchos and playing festivals such as Roskilde, Bestival, Way Out West and Sommer Am See. Her latest album Borderline Iconic, released in the summer of 2024, is a record crossing between the subjects of meaning – fearing the lack thereof, family wounding and indulging to rock music. Tightly produced and refined, the hazy sonics and reverb-soaked vocals are instantly recognisable as Linn, yet each track on the album keeps you guessing with its versatility.
